Mountain Drive

Darlene loves to sing bluegrass music.  She plays rhythm guitar and sings lead and tenor.  She is the principal at Green HIlls Elementary School, and she and her son, Justin live at Bledsoe.

Carl is a great banjo player and baritone singer.  He is a founding member of the bands, Overdrive and Spare Change.  Carl works in hydraulics.  He and his wife, Sherry, a band supporter and Wendy's manager, live in Corbin, KY close to their daughter and grandson. 

Jerry is a great bassist.  He became interested in playing bass during weekly jam sessions hosted by Jerry and Donna Blanton.  In no time, he has become a great musician.  He plays mandolin as well.  He lives in Harlan with his wife Teresa, an Office Manager at Don's Super Saver.  They have two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica.  Jerry is a former coal miner and is a mandolin luthier. Members of the band own and play his mandolins, and several other bluegrassers are taking notice of the beauty and great sound his mandolins produce.  See his web page.  In his spare time, Jerry likes to do woodworking.
